About Ceramic Singing Bowls

These Ceramic Bowls have the unique ability to “sing” as Tibetan                                                                           Prayer Bowls or Crystal Singing Bowls – when the lip is encircled                                                                        with the stick it will make a harmonious sustaining tone. The sound is                                                                     not only pleasantly heard but also felt in the body on a cellular level.

Singing Bowls originated in the Far East and are used by Tibetan                                                                      monks and other spiritual traditions for healing and meditation. In                                                                    ancient times they were used in sound ceremonies and rituals. Today they are used by massage and sound therapists to heal as the sound is not only heard but felt on a cellular level. The notes contain many over and undertones and connect to the chakra system in
the body. They are also useful in stopping the “monkey chatter” within our heads and bring a
  sense of calmness.

Other prayer bowls are made of metal or crystal. Marston's ceramic bowls are unique: they sing
due to a combination of shape, clay, glaze, and firing – basically skillful crafting and a little
